Fractional Marketing

Senior-level marketing support, without the cost and commitment of a full-time hire.

Marketing is vital for your business to thrive and grow. It can also be complex, time-consuming and overwhelming.

With the average annual salary for a senior marketer standing at around £56,000 (PayScale), not all organisations can afford an in-house solution. Fractional marketing gives you senior marketing expertise, embedded into your team, at a fraction of the cost of a full-time employee. It means you get to have your cake and eat it (and why wouldn’t you want to eat your cake?)

“FLISTRO has become an integral component in our business, providing invaluable support to our marketing and communication strategy. Multiple skill sets and a great knowledge of market engagement styles and channels have greatly increased our business presence and status.”

Julian Mead

Client Services Director, Inform Communications

If your marketing lacks structure, results are patchy, your team is overwhelmed or you find yourself tied up with things that aren’t your job, I’m here to help. From strategy and analysis to campaign design and delivery, I work as a seamless extension of your team and make it my job to know you, your audience and your company inside out.

Each service looks different, depending on your business type and people-power. Typically, though, I provide:

Marketing strategy, design and delivery

I can act as your entire marketing department or fill in the gaps for your existing marketing team – providing senior direction, support and structure. However we work together, you’ll get consistency, clarity and meaningful marketing activity that focuses on your audience and goals: not just the next shiny thing, or what everyone else is doing (unless what they’re doing is really good).

Data, reporting and analysis

I’ll help you understand what’s working, and where you’re wasting time and money. You’ll get clean, reliable reports on the metrics that matter: what’s driving revenue, where opportunities are being missed, and what to do next. From GA4 and campaign reporting to funnel analysis and attribution, I provide regular, actionable data that paves the way for confident decisions and consistent improvement.

Consistency, support and momentum

I provide a steady, senior presence within a busy team – setting clear priorities, creating structured plans, and keeping activity aligned to outcomes. For small, stretched teams, that means less reactive, ad-hoc work and more focused, joined-up marketing. My experience means I can take ownership of momentum – driving campaigns forward, removing blockers, and ensuring nothing important slips – so the team can operate with more confidence, clarity and control. As one client put it: “thank you for keeping us moving!”

“While Éowyn delivers everything you would expect from an excellent digital marketer, what we value most is her strategic thinking and collaborative approach. She genuinely cares about us as a business.
We work seamlessly together, as if she were a member of the team, and it feels like a true partnership. She brings wide-ranging strategic insight and creativity, contributing not just to marketing but also to areas such as product development and identifying new target markets.”

FAQs

“How does it work?”2026-06-18T11:03:42+00:00

Every organisation’s needs are different, so I tailor my fractional marketing support accordingly. Typically, we’ll start with a review of your current marketing activity, goals, data and opportunities before creating a focused 90-day plan. From there, I can provide ongoing strategic direction, leadership, accountability and hands-on support, depending on what your business needs. The arrangement is flexible and can scale up or down as your priorities change.

“How much will I need to manage you?”2026-08-17T14:18:37+00:00

Very little day to day. I’m a senior marketer with over a decade of experience, so I don’t need hand-holding. At the start, I’ll take the time to understand your business properly – your audience, tone of voice, priorities, do’s and don’ts – so everything runs smoothly. After that, I’ll manage activity proactively, keeping you informed without taking up unnecessary time. This service is designed to take the pressure off, not put more on.

“How is fractional marketing priced?”2026-08-17T14:18:00+00:00

I work on a monthly retainer basis, which gives you predictable costs and consistent support, and allows me to plan ahead for maximum efficiency and outcomes. I won’t tie you into a contract, but most clients start on an initial commitment of 3 months, which gives me the time to move beyond quick fixes and start delivering meaningful results.

The amount of time I spend on your business each month depends on your budget and the scope of our work together. Prices start at £500 a month + VAT for ‘light touch’ support (measurement, reporting, guidance and sense-checking), with most of my retainer clients investing between £2,000 – £3,000 a month for fully embedded marketing support including strategy, management and hands-on delivery. Fractional marketing is the opposite of a ‘one size fits all’ approach, so please get in touch to chat about pricing for your particular business and requirements.

“Are you a consultant?”2026-04-11T15:28:33+00:00

I can be but, frankly, I don’t like it much. Why? Because, I’m interested in visible change and, in almost all cases, consultancy results in a lot of valuable insights, and little to no measurable impact. The reason nothing changes is because there’s no corresponding shift in capacity to deliver, manage and measure marketing. My particular brand of fractional marketing doesn’t just tell you what to do: I’ll do it for you, as well.

“How’s this different from hiring a freelancer?”2026-04-12T15:30:55+00:00

Freelancers can be an amazing resource for short-term projects and one-off problem solving, usually able to hit the ground running and deliver what you need efficiently and cost-effectively. However, the nature of freelance work means, when you try and pin them down a month later because the thing they made has broken, they’re off doing stuff for someone else. Or they’ve moved to Bali to pursue their love of stone carving. Good for them! Bad for you.

Fractional marketing is different – I’m in it with you for the long haul. Unlike freelancers who typically focus on delivery, or agencies that can be removed from day-to-day business realities, a fractional marketer sits in between – combining strategy, execution and ongoing involvement as part of your team.

At the time of writing this, I’ve been working with my current group of clients for an average of 5 years, and counting. Building long-term relationships is what makes me tick. That, and all the charts going the right way.

Stop wasting your precious time.
