Traditional search engine optimisation (SEO) is still an essential part of getting found online, but it’s no longer the whole story. Today, your customers might discover you through Google search results, an AI Overview, ChatGPT, Claude or any number of AI-powered search tools.
The goal remains the same: increasing your visibility when people are actively looking for what you offer. These visitors are particularly valuable to your businesses because they’ve already actively searched for what you offer. And, unlike Google Ads, you didn’t have to pay for their click. What’s not to love?
“Éowyn has been responsible for Mix’s digital marketing for several years, during which time she has transformed our online performance. When we first started working together, the business had slipped from page one of Google search results to page 20+. Within no time at all, she sorted our SEO and ensured we returned to our rightful place at the top of Google, reflecting our experience and calibre as a firm.”

CEO, Mix Works
You may know that Google and friends take over 200 factors into account when deciding where to rank your website. AI-powered search tools make similar assessments. They look for trustworthy content, expertise, authority, strong technical foundations and evidence that your organisation is a credible source of information.
There are now well over a billion websites competing for attention, and AI-powered search is changing how information is discovered and presented. Search marketing has always been tough, and it’s got tougher. But – with organic search visitors converting at almost twice the rate of paid traffic and over three times the rate of social media traffic – the rewards are worth the effort.
There’s no quick fix, but there is a process. Here’s what I do…
1. Audit Your Current Search Visibility
I’ll start with a comprehensive review of your website, identifying any technical issues that may be limiting your visibility in search engines and AI-powered search tools. I’ll also assess your current performance, uncover quick wins and establish a clear picture of where the biggest opportunities lie.
2. Understand How Your Audience Searches
I’ll carry out detailed keyword and audience research to understand how potential customers search for your products or services, the questions they’re asking and the intent behind those searches. This helps make sure we’re targeting the opportunities most likely to generate the results that are meaningful for you.
3. Optimise Your Website For Search & AI
Once we know what your audience is looking for, I’ll optimise your website to help search engines and AI platforms understand your content, expertise and relevance.
This includes traditional on-page SEO, technical improvements and content recommendations that support SEO, Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), increasing your visibility across both traditional and AI-powered search experiences.
4. Build Authority & Trust
Search visibility depends on credibility.
I’ll help identify opportunities to strengthen your online authority through content, digital PR, backlink acquisition and other trust-building activities. At the same time, I’ll analyse your competitors to understand who’s currently winning visibility in your market and where opportunities exist to outperform them.
For businesses serving a specific geographical area, I’ll also ensure your local SEO foundations are in place so you’re visible to nearby customers actively looking for your services.
5. Monitor, Measure & Improve
I’ll continually monitor the technical health of your website, identifying any issues that could affect crawling, indexing, performance or user experience. Search algorithms, AI platforms and competitor activity are constantly evolving, so ongoing refinement is essential.
6. Focus on Business Growth
While rankings and traffic are useful indicators, they’re not the end goal. The real measure of success is generating more of the right enquiries, leads, customers or sales.
And because search is only one part of the wider marketing picture, you’ll have a dedicated search marketing partner with more than a decade of hands-on experience delivering campaigns, analysing performance and connecting search activity to commercial outcomes. The focus is always on ensuring your investment in SEO, AEO and GEO contributes to meaningful business growth, not simply better-looking reports.
All as part of a practical, affordable service designed around the needs and budgets of growing organisations.
Sounds good! How quickly will I see results?
Glad you asked. Search engine optimisation is not an overnight process and, although the results are significant, you will not get them quickly. According to Google themselves:
“In most cases, the SEO will need four months to a year to help your business first implement improvements and then see potential benefit”. Maile Oyhe, Google
We can talk about a long term SEO management service that fits in with your budget and that you are completely happy with, but I will suggest a 4 month program of work to ensure you get results and value from your SEO. If you need immediate results, I may recommend a pay-per-click (PPC) campaign instead (I can create and manage this for you), or to run alongside the SEO work.
I will also say that, without a solid content marketing strategy, organic visibility is pretty impossibly to achieve. ‘Blogs’ might feel very ’90s but THEY’RE STILL ONLINE MARKETING POWERHOUSES. I can support you with content strategy, connect you with copywriters or help your team deliver in-house.
